In November 2017 LANtech were awarded a sizable contract by the Dodd Group a large M&E Contractor in the South West to supply and install a complete new CAT6A F/UTP LSZH and 8core OM4 fibre optic cabling network for the new Tamar Bridge Office Development and Heritage Centre.

 TEST The new 4.7million Tamar Bridge Office development, which will replace the existing 56year old out of date building, benefits from a new 24/7 Control Centre, new Customer Service Centre, improved and extended office accommodation and a new Tamar Bridge Heritage Centre funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The new offices will provide improved resilience and technology to meet operational needs and meet current and forecast frontline customer service requirements.

LANtech Communications have provided a complete Excel CAT6A F/UTP LSZH data cabling solution for the entire project. The data cabling incorporated approximately 300 Excel CAT6A F/UTP outlets for use as desktop data outlets, WIFI, CCTV and telephone outlets arranged over two levels of the new and existing office spaces with the new main server room housed on the ground floor of the new building.

LANtech have also provided numerous 8core OM4 multimode fibre optic link cables between the new and old server rooms, each Toll Booth and Highways England Room. Each fibre optic link cable was terminated with LC connectors using the fusion splice method.

LANtech have provided an Excel 25year Warranty, along with the necessary test certification and as fitted drawings for the installation. All work was completed on time and to budget.
