In May 2015 LANtech were awarded a sizable contract by TClarke a large M&E Contractor in the South West to supply and install a complete new CAT6 UTP LSZH network and associated CAT6, fibre optic and voice backbone cabling including comms cabinets at St Mathews Academy in Plymouth.

St Matthews CofE Primary and Nursery Academy is a new and exciting 7million pound school that has been constructed in the Derriford area of Plymouth and will when full create 630 new places and 27 new nursery places and benefits from fairly extensive grounds.

The school has been constructed over three levels and boasts fairly extensive grounds. It utilizes the Dewey Model from the Sunesis Suite of Standardised schools to provide a high quality school that will be built quicker and more cost effectively than alternative methods.

LANtech Communications provided a complete Excel CAT6 UTP LSZH data cabling solution for the entire project. The data cabling incorporated approximately 195 Excel CAT6 UTP outlets for use as desktop data outlets, WIFI coverage and telephone outlets with the main server room located on the first floor and sub-comms cabinet located in the ground floor Reception Office.

The comms cabinets in the Server Room and Reception Office have been linked with an 8core 50/125 LC OM3 multimode fibre optic link cable, 6x Excel CAT6 UTP LSZH link cables and a 50pair CW1308 telephone link cable providing the backbone cabling.

LANtech have provided an Excel 25year Warranty, along with the necessary test certification and as fitted drawings for the installation. Even though the project had a very tight programme all work was completed on time and to budget.
