In October 2012 LANtech was awarded a exiting contract by the Dodd Group a large M&E Contractor in the South West to supply and install a complete new Nexans CAT6 UTP LSZH network including audio visual cabling at the new Fire Behaviour Training Centre at Exeter Airport for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

The new state of the art £3.35million Centre has been provided for training fire-fighters both for the Devon and Somerset regional fire-service and Exeter Airport fire-service.

It will provide facilities for fire-behaviour training, hot and cold smoke training, mock-up houses and aeroplane, ship-fire training, and will also accommodate the Emergency Command Unit, welfare facilities, lecture theatres and general admin.

LANtech Communications provided a complete Nexans Essential CAT6 UTP LSZH data cabling solution for the entire project. The data cabling incorporated approximately 235 Nexans Essential CAT6 UTP outlets for use as desktop data outlets, WIFI coverage and telephone outlets with the main server room housed on the first floor.

LANtech provided all audio visual cabling and outlets required in the various lecture theatres and meeting rooms for projectors and digital signage.

LANtech have provided a Nexans 25year Warranty, along with the necessary test certification and as fitted drawings for the installation. All work was completed in the spring of 2013 on time and to budget.
